Love has been perfected
among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as
He is, so are we in this world. 1 John
4:17
When you look at yourself
(your weaknesses) and your negative circumstances, it’s easy to become seized
with anxiety, fear and despair.
That’s why God wants us to
look away from ourselves and look at Jesus. In God’s eyes, because He has
placed us in Christ, Jesus’ reality is our reality today—“as He is, so
are we in this world”!
So don’t focus on your
vulnerability or the lack in your life and get discouraged. Ask yourself: Is
Jesus abandoned, forgotten, sick and poor today? No, He is at the right hand of
the Father, full of life, peace, joy and favor. All of heaven’s resources are
at His disposal. He is greatly blessed, highly favored and deeply loved by the
Father today, and so are you!
To be Jesus-occupied like this is to see as God sees. And when you see as God sees, you will also see the grace and supply of the Lord swallow up every lack in your life! (Article & Picture courtesy of Joseph Prince Ministries used with kind permission).
